Well my brother picked it up for me but it is one that has been on my wish list for awhile now. I honestly never thought I would find one close to me since it is an uncommon brand and I haven't seen another for sale around me.

Who can guess which brand it is?

Hint 1 is in the sentences above.

Hint 2: the majority of the tractor is red

Well being obsessed with hogs, my 1st thought would be a Bush Hog since you said rare & red.

I made the hints too easy lol.

It's a Bush Hog d4-10. It doesn't run and is missing the seat but it looks to be in decent shape in the pictures my brother sent me. I am still surprised I found one for sale so close to me and luckily my brother was able to pick it up. I think I got a fair deal on it for $125. Hopefully it won't take much to get it running.

$125 is a great deal! Nice find! The seats were the same for pretty much all the models except the t-63 and some if the early model d4-7's.

It appears to have a TEC engine, sleeve hitch draw bar, Rear PTO, and a snow Blade. I'd say you did very well Matt. Welcome to the BH club.

I believe there's a bush hog seat bracket on eBay now. Great but for $125! Did you happen to get the serial number?

I have been wanting a BH for a long time but never thought I would find one close to me or at a reasonable price. The engine is a Wisconsin and I have had good luck getting Wisconsins to run again so hopefully I will have the one running soon.

I think my brother got it already. I haven't seen the tractor in person yet and won't for another week. I will ask him to post the serial number here.

Don't let him fool you, he may have emailed the guy, but I arranged the deal, went to get it, negotiated the  price, and paid for it, I might just keep it for my self. I thought of your post as soon as I got home and the numbers don't match, they are 8574.
