Smartphone apps are where it's at...I have 32 searches, covering various regions, depending on how far I'm willing to go for the item, that run on schedule, and tell me when things pop up. :thumbs:

Freed Hardwoods is the name of the business that put me out of business. I had a lumber kiln and made flooring, cabinet parts, etc. Lost pretty much all my customers when the economy tanked in '08. Siphoned money from my trucking business for a while to keep things going, but eventually ran out of money.

That's tough! There is a local sawmill in Kirkland, Il. that still cuts and dries hardwood. I would imagine that it is a competitive business.

I kept paying my full time employee full wages to keep him because I assumed the economy would bounce back like always.

 

If I said what I think about why our economy is still in the tank an unheard of 5 years later, I'd probably get taken to the GTT woodshed.
