it was a Fairbanks Morse model Z engine and when the picture was taken, it was running, so you can't really see the spokes (blurry)

I used a couple of binder drive wheels for the rear, and a set of binder "truck" wheels for the front.  the frame was part of an old john deere cultivator, the steering gear was part of an old threshing machine, and the "transmission" was gears from an old New Idea sickle mower drive and Mayrath auger drive gears.  the differential was out of some old car rear end. 

 

Dad grew up in the 30s and we saved all kinds of stuff because we could maybe use it someday.......... :D
