On my last leg, but got the 3 little pigs all loaded.  Just covered up the D4-10 & backed the load under roof.  Still outside in pic.

Other than cleaning up the bed of the truck & spiffing up the cab a tad, I'm ready to go way ahead of time.  That means I have forgotten something!  Maybe several somethings!  :rolling:

Disappointing turnout as far as GT's, well large tractors too for that matter.  About 30 large tractors & ONLY Fred & I brought GT's...3 each!  We've had as many as 28 show GT's, but the folks running Lincoln Days has ticked so many people off that the tractor show is dying a slow death.

My only competition for "Best Of Show GT" was Fred's 430 & his Allis 416 I restored, but my D4-10 won out.  Here's a pic of me, my son Josh, Grandkids Case, Tori, and Gracie.  Big trophy in the seat.  Would much rather had a ton of competition whether I won a thing or not.

Some various pics from the show:

Was fun, but I am tuckered out for sure.  I'm thinking it's time to go get some Chinese cooking in a bit!  I packed my lunch so not to have to buy that expensive half decent stuff they sell at Lincoln Days.  Time for good grub!

Glad Y'all won and had a good time. Sorry to hear that the show going down hill. Maybe someone will get involved and bring it back to it's former glory.

Yes, too bad about the decline in GT attendance.

Well, at least you know which of your restorations is best. :smilewink:

So do you plan to have the big HD12 ready for next year?

Just curious, what kind of things have they done to drive people away?

So do you plan to have the big HD12 ready for next year?

Just curious, what kind of things have they done to drive people away?

They lost most all the small engine display folks due to having an Apache helicopter do a low fly over the tractor area & land just 50 yards away.  It took tents, hats, display signs & sent them flying.  Damaged a small engine participant's nearly new truck & the Lincoln Day's insurance declined coverage. That Apache came in so low it was plain stupid.  I knew when I seen it coming in that we were in for trouble.

The tractor show is a part of Lincoln Day's and not it's own thing, so the tractor folks have no say in anything at all.  No tractor games, no kids allowed to ride with tractor drivers.

Who knows about the HD-12.  I've not had ANY time at all for it, except to put a new tube in the left front tire.   :(
