We need an "eating popcorn" smiley! Watching with great interest. Kenny, do you ever sleep?

Early to bed, early to rise! My body has been on a 3-4 AM wake up for years, hard to break that habit.

You can always use this one: :watch_over_fence:

Yes it might be a while. The electric fuel pump on the 1st FF just bit the dust. I can't start it to pull the engine and put it into the other tractor. Dang it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You surely have a small fuel tank you can strap on top of the hood so you can gravity flow fuel in there!

Thankfully that pump didn't go out at plow day. Sorry to hear that you lost the pump.

I suddenly have a strange urge to put a V8 in my JD140! Oh, that's right, I already had that urge... Kenny spoiled me when he let my run the #1 FF at Daniels plow day, now all I can say is "MORE POWER!"

Houston! We have lift off!

Image037.jpg

Early (before daylight) this morning, I straightened the engine base plate and welded it back up.

Had to relocate the engine oil drain.

And we have splash down:

Got the base and drive shaft hooked up. Here's where the oil drain goes to:

My work around for the fuel pump was to go back to the vacuum pump on the shroud. It had not been used for a while. And it nearly took pulling that engine to get it off and cleaned up. After a good cleaning, it pumped like a champ. I will be watching the oil for signs of gas though. I also cleaned the one on the P220. Hopefully it works as well!

This all set my time table back some. But tomorrow, she will fire off!
