I bought this tractor some time ago. Needless to say, sans engine. A while back I bought a Craftsman III from jpcubs. It had a P220 Onan on it. Once I got it home, I coaxed the Onan to life. I thought it had a charging issue, But after talking to my Onan guru (Robert Kummer, have his e-mail if needed), it turned out to just be a connection problem. So, tomorrow, if things go as planned, the #2 FF will be under it's own power. Keep your fingers crossed!

According to the hour meter, this engine only has 500 hrs on it. I know it sounds sweet. I do have an issue to fix on the engine mounting plate. Folks before had tried putting a Kohler in it and had messed things up some.

Here's the Onan about to leave it's home:

Here's the engine 'base' as Sears calls it. You can see that either side of the vise are issues.

A little TLC and that will be ready to accept the 'new' Onan.

Hope all goes smoothly Kenny.  I know you'll be tickled silly to get a 2nd FF under power!

Glad to hear your moving so quickly on the re-power Kenny. It will be another BEAST I'm sure. Plowing with the other FF really impressed me.

Casey, I had no wish to part with this one. It is a low serial # and has low hrs on the clock. Couple that with a low hour engine and I have one to squirt some paint on.

Plus a pair of twins to take plowing!

Keep us posted! I'd love to see video of TWO of your monsters plowing side-by-side, that'd be cool.

I'll be posting pics for sure! Just have a bunch to do to make sure it all works as planned. Love to take both to a plow day.

Kenny, I'm sure that you will have the engine mount thing fixed in not time and any other problem will just be a small bump in the road for you.  Looking forward to seeing FF #2 up and running.

I hope to have it running tomorrow, but that will depend on any issues with the wiring. Plus I hope the fuel tank is fairly clean. It's a pain to pull if not!

Another FF yours is the first one I've ever seen and you got 2 of them.

Sounds like with a little TLC it'll be a good one.

Besides the base plate fix, I will need to reroute the oil drain. It cannot come out the side. May need some pipe & fittings to run it different. Exhaust will probably be an issue, don't think that big muffler will work in there. Also have to clean the wiring connections on the tractor.

I noticed the tractor has the RH axle seal leaking, so I need to replace that before the fluid change.
