Today, I brought home a 1969 110 Patio with front blade, mower deck, and Patio #31 tiller.  Like many of them, it was repainted green, but you can see the "Fleet" Red paint on the hood and the "Dogwood" white on the body.  Definitely a project, but hey it is a "Patio"

Nice score Mark! Congrats

Thank you Troy,

You know, they don't make these tractors anymore.  We have to pick them up and save them from the scrap yard.  :D

Mark, being it's a 69, make sure you take plenty of photos as you take it apart. There should be places were things are bolted together that will have white between them. This will help verify that it is a Custom Color if you ever decide to sell it. Also under the ID tag.

Very nice combo you hot there.

Hi Brian,  thanks for the tip.  I did see that of the three years the Patio's were made (69 - 71), only '70 and '71 designated a unique Patio Type code.  The 1969 models did not have any unique identifier except for the paint.

Cheers!

Question for the team...

Is there any real value in having a "Patio" #31 tiller?  Obviously it would compliment the whole tractor package, however I am thinking about selling the mule and tiller extension on Ebay to help pay for the purchase of this tractor.

Custom Color attachments do bring more money, even though they don't work any better. If you got any, make sure you document them also as you restore them. I have 4 different patio GT's but only 2 CC mower decks.

I can't speak to the added value, sorry. I am curious about the seat. Is the metal part the "textured" paint people talk about? I have never seen one up close, I'd love a pic if it is. Thanks!

P.S.: I see a real expert chimed in about the value, thanks Brian!

Unfortunately the seat has been replaced with some off-brand.  I do not have the original seat.

The only Patio attachment that I know of that sells higher than any of the yellow attachments, is the 80 dump cart. When you find them, the 5A sprayer and 8 cart sell for a lot, but they are harder to find than the 80 carts. As for the tiller, I wouldn't sell it for less than the going rate of a normal yellow tiller.

The textured seat pan is textured in the steel when they stamped them, not in the paint. I will look to find my picture of my seat pan for you.
