I'd love to see pictures of side mount sickle bar mowers on your tractors. All brands desired.

Here's a Haban 414 (originally for some of the Wheel Horse tractors) that I 'converted' to a 405A and mounted on my G10. In the head on view you can just see the bolts (I did cut off that excess so they wouldn't bite my shins)  that are holding a wheel weight on the left rear.  It needs that to counterbalance the cutter bar, and was something that Haban recommends in their manual.

Sometime later, I 'accidently' bought a 1256 on eBay with a 405A mower on it.  It was missing the grass divider board, but I managed to find one for it. A PO had widened the stance on the tractor, so it didn't need the wheel weight.  Note in the head on view that you can see the G10 with the wheel weight in the background.

I had been 'lusting' for a hard to find 415A Sickle-Mo for the Large Frame Bolens tractors because, unlike most of the Haban Sickle-Mos, the cutter bar is raised by the hydraulic lift as opposed to using the 'arm strong' lift.  Not long ago I found one attached to a 1250, and this is what it looked like when I brought it home.

As you can see it's still pretty 'narrow' and without a wheel weight on the left rear would be a bit on the tippy side.  While I do have a set of the 15" wheel weights, I went with a different solution.

Earlier this year on one of my road trips I brought back a fairly rare dual wheel kit with NOS tires for the Bolens Large Frames tractors.  Those were only for the 15" wheels, and since the 1250 is the only tractor I have with the 15" wheels, it was a 'no brainer' to use the dual wheel kit on it.  I bought a 'matching' set of tires for the kit which wasn't cheap, but it does make it look better than having unmatched tires.  One thing that stands out is that the tread lines up almost perfectly one each side. That was NOT planned, and was totally accidental.  Anyway, here's what it looks like today.
