Hello

Being that I have a 1983 John Deere 318 I set out to find some of the collectible's that have been made to Honor the John Deere 318. I Located a belt Buckle that Honored the One millionth John Deere lawn & garden Tractor which was the 318. They made them in Bronze as well as 14 KT Gold. The bronze one's were not serial numbered but the Gold One's were and they made 1000 total mine is Serial number 604. Ertle also made a scale 318 tractor with a dump cart of which I have shown below. They made a Circus clown stein with the 318 on it for it's first release year of which mine is being 1983. If you have some collectible's let's see them in their Thread. Cheer's, Hammerdown

Nice collection. I don't have a 318 or any collectibles but it's interesting to see that they are out there.

The 318 may be a good working tractor but I have no use for one. What I mean by that is if I really had a use for one I may try to find one but I will leave what ones that are left for the men that really need one to do there work. I am happy with my little GT275.

It seems like everybody and there brother wants a 318, seems like there was a whole lot of them built for a lot of owners pop up with there questions for repairing them, nothing wrong with that, if you have one and use it then know how to repair it,

Good luck 318 owners.

I would like to have something green a little smaller than the 318 and something with the shaft drive.

Dick

I would love to have the Ertle 318 and wagon. Been looking for it since I bought my 318 in late 2011.  I do have the JD 140 set with attachments that my son-in-law gave me back when I had my 140.

Hello hdg4400

The Ertle 1/16 John Deere 318 Tractor and dump Trailer are still out there to had bot Ertle has not made them in quit some time. I located mine off Evil-Bay it did not come with it's box but it is dead mint and I Paid a buy it now of $39.00 Plus shipping. Here is a link to these Tractor and dump Trailer's at this time they seem pretty Pricey but if you watch the site close you can catch a deal like I did. As Far as the One Millionth Gold belt Buckle it took me about a year to locate one for a decent price it too came from Evil-bay. It was offered at a Price of $39.00 or make offer so I submitted and offer of $35.00 and the seller accepted it. One average the One Millionth Gold belt buckle's run around $50.00 or more so I felt that I got a good deal on it. Regards, Hammerdown

Hello daytimedave

Nice collection you have there for sure.  Ertle has made the precision series in 1/16 for the John Deere 140 Patio series Tractor's they are really super detailed. I sure wish they would do a Precision series of the John Deere  318 Tractor I would have one in a heart beat. Regards, Hammerdown

Hello Dick

I am a Little confused at what your response has to do with John Deere 318 collectible's but to each his own I guess. I have had several John Deere Lawn & garden Tractor's in the past but all of them were older model's that to me were built like a Tank. My current 318 is the Cadillac of Lawn & Garden Tractor's to me as it has Power steering and a super tough Hydrostatic Transmission. In my mind the 318 set the pace for other Manufacturer's to follow, they are as tough as nail's that's why there are so many of them still Out there working daily. All of the 300 series Tractor's are shaft driven I had a 1985 John Deere 314 before I got my 318. It was nice but with it's single cylinder Kohler it had quit a bit of vibration and Lacked power steering. I recently had to repair a friend's John Deere model 345 that is a Little larger than your's. It would not move forward or reverse. I located the problem which was a stripped out drive Pulley on top of it's Hydrostatic Transmission. It was Not easy to change, as the floor pan had to come off the Tractor to get to it and although The Splined shaft Pulley part was cheap to replace at $17.00 I felt it to be of Real Poor design as the Pulley Spline  shaft is made of  soft Mild steel on Purpose to strip out if the Tractor's Transmission is abused. I also did not like the Belt drive Hydrostatic Transmission to begin with they should have used a drive shaft like they did on the 318's. I Guess that is why I stick with the older one's like my Old 318 as I feel that they are built a Lot tougher than the newer offerings. Regards, Hammerdown

Hello Tractorguy1994

Very Nice Precision series John Deere 140. Like I said if Ertle ever make's a Precision series in the John Deere 318 I will be alll Over it. Your Trailer is Neat too. I have been Hunting for a trailer like that as well as a 2000 Dodge Ram Model so that I could complete my package as I have a 2000 Dodge Ram. Sadly most of the Dodge Ram Model's that I have seen are extra cab model's or are the Sport's addition. I have one that is the SRT which has Patriot Blue Paint and Sandstone two tone on the bottom and it is a short box so it makes it tough to find a model of it. Regards, Hammerdown

Hello TractorGuy1994

I appreciate the link that is the same trim Package as my Ram but it is a Three quarter ton and a long bed where as mine is a half ton truck with a short bed. In time if I can't locate one just like mine I may order one like this and Paint it my truck color's. Thanks, Hammerdown
