Here's a cl ad that I saw and on the deck is what looks like a little electric motor , maybe it's not even for it , idk , but maybe someone does

I will say that is a very clean tractor. I sure wouldn't sell it and keep the green one.

If you look closely, that is a power window regulator motor, it appears they attached it to the deck height adjusting mechanism.....I guess pulling a lever was too much work. Neat mod though, would have never thought about doing that.

I bought a bunch of old Simplicity tractors and attachments this year. One of the snowblowers has a windshield wiper motor setup on the chute for ease of use. I thought that it was clever. Good Luck, Rick

Yea, there is a lot of those around. Washer motor or window motor to change direction of chute. If chute has adjustable angle, put a small electric actuator on it too! :thumbs:

I think that's stock.  They offer electric cutting height adjustment on their current tractors.

Yup...that's an electric height adjuster.  Probably a replacement.  I'm unsure what models use them, but they've been in place on the Legacy's since the late '90's...probably LL's as well, and now the Prestige.

By the way, the picture detail is lacking a bit but that REALLY looks like a '70s Chrysler wiper motor.

Learned from you guys again !  Maybe the original electric motor died and they adapted wiper motor Canawler mentioned ?
