I've never planted corn this late. The same variety of corn that got seven feet tall when planted in the spring started tasseling a week ago at a whopping three feet tall. I'm going to have to get on my hands and knees to pick it.

That is late corn. We are just eating the last of ours and I didn't know if the weather would hold for it or not. I hope we get a late fall so you can get yours out.

The shorter days are telling all plants that time to reproduce is ending soon. Come to think of it I forgot to pick chestnuts this fall. I hope that its not too late. Good Luck, Rick
