The engine is not original, it is missing a fender, and it has rust. Keep it under $100.

I believe that thing on the seat is the brake. When you want to stop just throw it off, like an anchor.

The troy bilt horse is worth money too. Both are pretty rough but the parts arent being made anymore so heck lol. Offer him 75 for just the springfield and see if he jumps on it. If nothing else you can fix it up and have a heck of a little tractor.

I ended up going down there and seeing what they had. Damn it Chris, you should have called me back! Since it was right in your backyard...

Anywho, interesting place, Ex- hoarders home, owner had passed away, the widow was stuck with everything and this nice man I met named Vinny was kind enough to show me around.

I bought the tiller and a motorized reel mower, along with some bell canning jars, mason jars, some gas cans, etc.

All together I paid $110 for everything. I'm happy that I was able to save some equipment, price was fair at $50 each and overall the most important thing, I was able to help the woman out pay for all the dumpsters to throw the garbage out.

The reel mower has a seized briggs engine on it, and the tec engine turned over barely. I'll unload tomorrow and snap some more photos.

The yardman reel mower I was able to get running today! It runs excellent. Need a gov spring and a little bit of tuning, but after cleaning the point, fired right up even with the SP that was in it. The chain on the reel needs to be removed and replaced, it's rusted solid!

I saw this topic and thought I would let everyone know that I ended up buying the Springfield tractor today. I paid $50.00 for it and have already started trying to get it running. The engine spins freely and it pushes nice, but there are a lot of brackets welded everywhere on it. tomaro I'm hoping to cut off all the parts that don't belong and see what it will take to get the engine to run.
