I have an economy king tractor with a terrible deck. It is rough.

I have several cub cadet decks laying out around and today awhile I was kicking around the shop I thought why wouldnt this work?

Rear is hung by a single chain, and the two mounts up front.

With some angle iron, a welder, and some bolts I think it may be possible.

anyone done this?

Power King decks 1984 and earlier are left hand discharge so you would have to deal with that.

If the deck had the wrong rotation compared to the Power King deck could the belt be twisted between the mule drive and deck ? I guess if it was like my 1968 Jim Dandy it uses a spring loaded mule drive that moves to disengage the deck it wouldn't disengage but maybe a electric clutch ?

Check the rotations by mocking up the setup. If it works, continue on with the adapters. If there is a problem, we can all figure it out together. Pictures will help with clarifications. Good Luck, Rick

If it has a fiberglass hood it is right hand and a steel hood is left hand.I have heard of at least on person putting a twist in the belt but as said earlier,it would need to have an electric clutch.

Where are you located in Ohio?  My grandpa has a deck he has been rebuilding.  I think he was going to sell it.  I know there is a lot of "maybe" in that, lol.  I'm in Northern KY

I'm in Lafferty Ohio.  Right along interstate 70.

I have a Deck, but it is in terrible shape.  Its been patched, and messed with.  The mounting tabs are all loose, the mule drive mounts are wallered out.  It needs some love.
