A guy in town had this tube frame sitting outside for most of the year, yesterday I was on my way home from the hardware store when I saw it for sale at the end of the drive. I check it out, its a 1050 which seemed to be complete with some front end damage. Owner claims to have backed into it with a skidsteer. Will need a new right side spindle, tire, and wheel and starter bracket. I bought the tractor for the rear wheel weights, guy took my $100 so I dragged it home before the snow fell. I will get pictures up after I clean the driveway for the first time this year.

"I cant stop buying tractors..."

We feel your pain. We're all addicts here. Best thing you can do is save a little money up & buy another one soon.

I am not a Doctor however... Maybe Dr. Bolens will weigh in with a better course of treatment.

hmm... Sounds like you are in the beginning stages of Bolens fever :D

In all seriousness though, sounds like you got a great deal. The weights were $100 and the tractor was free

Cant wait for the pics to come! Now that we have the serial # tracker we can tell the exact year :bounce: It sure beats the old way I used to do it. I used to judge year by the color shade of the white hood.

I have to agree with the doctor. You've got it bad and, sadly, there is no cure. But on the up-side you'll wind up with more storage than you ever thought you'd need!...and again, sadly, it'll be full of GT's LOL.
We can't wait to see some pics! We wont mind the carnage if you post the "after" pics as well.

I'm pretty sure I'd've given $100 for that and not even batted an eyelash! Great find!

If you dont have the parts I may have them just send me a PM.

She does look in good shape and I bet the large frame had fun pulling the tube frame around. :p

Bolens 1000 I think I may not fit on your scale. :laughingteeth:

I think the title of your post " can't stop buying tractors" would fit everyone of us tractor nuts here!!! So consider yourself in good company. I'd say you bought the weights and got the tractor for nothing so you can't even consider that you bought this tractor! Great deal and the tractor looks pretty good.
