Just spent an hour looking for a parts and owners manual for a National Mower 8469.

It seems to be non-existant.

Anyone have a lead?

Maybe here.... http://www.nationalm...om/manuals.html   Not sure about the older ones though

Hi all,

Just picked up my first John Deere lawn tractor yesterday. Okay to be more specific... it's the first lawn tractor I've ever personally owned so, i'm looking for the service/owners manuals for it. I grew up with friends that had dirt-bikes during the 80's and most of them had had points and condenser type ignitions so, i'm not afraid to work on/maintain it at all. It's a 216 and it came with the plow attachment. Can someone please hook me up with whatever manuals I'll need to keep this mean green machine in good working order?

Also on another great note, my neighbor is moving and is giving me a small trailer that they no longer want so definitely looking forward to mowing the lawn and hauling stuff around the yard this spring/summer!

Much appreciated and thanks in advance!

Anthony

Mother Deere don't want the plebes (aka- us) having copyrighted information when it can still make a buck..  HERE is the TD info on that machine..

Those things are tanks but I am less than enamored with the deck's cutting performance on turns..  I had a 316 (hydro) but let it go due to the fact that after mowing the lawn you felt like you went to the weight room due to all the hills & trees in my lawn..

The worst problem with those (100 / 200 series) is the vari-drive as the shieves get worn out and stick in place which is fine if you are happy with the speed range the gears let you go..  They are a PITA to rebuild and although I've been spared the experience I've heard horror stories..

Good Luck!

PS-  Hope it passed the dog's 'sniff test'!

Looking for a manual for General Power Equipment Snow Blade model 42BLA. Apparently they went out of business or were bought by MTD in 1995.  This was mounted on a Craftsman and I'm hoping to mount it on a Cub Cadet GT1554. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(I'm new. Don't shoot me.)

Haven't found a manual, but I did find an exploded view.

thanks MH81.  It looks like I have most of the parts if not all in 3 assemblies.  I haven't tried to line anything up to the tractor yet.  Hope it works. It isn't obvious to me where all the parts go, so a manual would speed up solving the puzzle.  Rick
