So I have to use a screw driver in the middle of the axel and turn it clockwise ?

Yes that's how you loosen it. I found that out the hard way.

I did it ! I unscrew the left hand screw from the pulley. But I have the impresion that something is missing.I have a little gap (space) between the pulley and the washer.Between theese should be some kind of bearings ? The washer has some grooves . Please take a look at the photos and give an opinion . When I screw the washer is not tight to the pulley .

Thank you very much .

Sorry, I can't answer your question. It's been a while since I had mine apart.

But, here is a website you should be aware of.

Hope that'll help you a bit.

Mine has a little bit of play in it when it's together.

About 1/8" back and forth, the whole assembly, doesn't appear to be a problem.

On my screw there is a washer like yours, has groves in it and a toothed washer.

Hello, since I haven't been on in a week I missed this. I assume that you got this taken care of, but here is a link to a thread when I had trouble with my Vari-Drive. Don't know if it would be a help but here it is.
