Robert, I cannot come up with any words that can express my thoughts.  You guys have my prayers, and I think about you all the time.  I just wish there was something I could do to help.  Prayers is about all I can do, so I just said another.

Robert,  We all are praying and hoping for a good out come with Kimmie.  I know you are getting stressed out with all this so please feel free to come on here and let it out.  If you would rather talk privately then feel free to PM me.  Kimmie and you are never far from my thoughts.  Hang in there my friend.

WildBill.............If you hear a loud explosion coming from the vicinity of Birmingham, Alabama,  Well you will know that the stress finally got to me and my head exploded....lol  I usually think that I am 10 feet tall and bullet proof but in the last few days I have been shot down so much that I am feeling about 2 feet tall and riddled with bullet holes. But I can assure you, I am NOT down for the count just yet!  As long as my wife is fighting, I will be standing right beside her walking with her step for step and supporting her just as much as I can. Like someone mentioned, this board has been a good place for me to "vent" and get the much needed support that I have been getting from you guys to stay strong for her and my kids!  I will NEVER be able to  put in to words just how much the prayers and encouragement have meant to me!

Here is the latest news from the hospital..........and once again, they kicked my feet out from under me.  Last night they found the blood clots and put her on a regimen of Lovonox and Coumadin  to thin her blood in an effort to stop any further blood clots.  Well they have been trying to run blood cultures on her ALL DAY long and about 6 people have ATTEMPTED to draw blood and were unsuccessful!  They finally sent a lab tech up to the room about 5 this afternoon and she was able to draw the blood, well while she was in here doing that, another nurse walked in with TWO IV antibiotics and said that "they found something growing in the blood cultures that they took last night"........that in itself scared the living crap out of me and Kimme both!  Rather than get Kimme any more upset than she already was, I waited until the nurse left the room and went to the nurses station and asked "What is the reasoning behind the IV antibiotics?"  Well they pretty much blew me off and told me that they didnt know and that they were just following Dr's orders and that I would have to ask the DR. And for anyone that knows me, that REALLY didnt set well with me!, I have been known to cause a ruckus with hospital staff when it comes to care of my loved ones to the point of almost being escorted out of the hospital....lol  Well just about the time that I walked back in her room and started talking to her, in walked a DR(pulmonologist), well needless to say I bombarded him with questions.  He pretty much confirmed my suspicions of an infection in her blood stream. He said that the infection could have been caused be several different factors including the chemo treatments.  They are going to continue to grow the bacteria to be able to identify it and hopefully determine what is causing it. As of right now, she is doing pretty good physically, they have her heart rate under control as well as her blood pressure but she still tires extremely easily so she has been sleeping most of the day. She is sitting next to me watching "the Big Bang Theory" and crunching on Ice chips.......lol  Her oncologist had told us this morning that she would probably release her in the morning but with the latest development, I expect for her to be here for at least a couple of more days. I had planned to go home tonight and get a good nights sleep so that I could go to work tomorrow but she has asked me to stay with her tonight so I will be sleeping on the couch.....I am going to inquire about a damn time share at the hospital as much as I have been up here lately.  At least if I own the time share, I can update to a more comfortable couch and recliner.....lol

Okay.........enough of my rambling.......so Later guys!

Robert, we are here for you, so PLEASE, do not stop updating us!  As for rambling, we do NOT consider it any such thing.  When the pressure gets too much, just remember, tough guys can shed tears, so let it go when the need arises.  I know if I were in your shoes, I'd be a wreck.  Hang tough Robert.

Daniel..........I can assure that there have been tears shed in the last couple of weeks.  With all of the things that were going on, I went to an uncles funeral and he was being buried in the same cemetery that my mother, grandmother, and grand daddy are buried in.  Was a VERY emotional morning for me as this was the first time that I have had the chance that I have to go back to her grave since we went and redid the burial plot.  I am not one to show a lot of emotion in public like that but it was a very hard moment because I was there all by myself!

No you weren't Robert!  You were surrounded by some of the people you love the most in this world!  Just because you are expected to be strong and not shed a tear is BS..  Vent if you have to!  Don't hold it in or it explodes..  The only way that day would have improved was if you rode in on one of your beloved tractors!!     Hang in there brother!  I've been in a similar situation and know pretty much what you are going though losing 2 of our 3 boys.. You let Kimmie know we are all pulling for her to get through this and she has our blessing to keep crunching that ice as loud as she can!!   :good_job:
