Continuing to pray Robert that you all will get passed this ugly thing & take one day at a time to heal & recover. We all are expecting nothing but good news tomorrow. Be blessed.

I will say an extra prayer tonight for both Kimmer's and Daniels dad's surgery to go well and that the doctors are able to do what needed to be done to put them both on a path to full recovery. May God watch over them and their doctors.

Please guys, keep the prayers flowing for Kimme, Robert, and their entire family.  I hope Robert won't be upset with my posting this, but Kimme's surgery brought bad news.  The tumor is not operable.  Robert & I have texted back & forth during today, and it hit hard when he told me this.  Prayers & support needed guys.

Daniel, I dont mind at all........today has been a WHIRLWIND of emotions.  This morning the surgeon came in and pretty much told us that he was CONFIDENT that he coud remove the tumor and we were VERY upbeat about the surgery.  They came and got her and took her to surgery and it took about 45 minutes after they actually started surgery before they called us to the consultation room and I was expecting "good" news and as you can imagine I was BLINDSIDED by the news that we received.  He told us that the tumor was actually attached to THE MAIN artery that supplies blood to the ENTIRE intestinal tract and that there was really no way to remove it without HUGE risks to her that were not worth the risk.  We asked if they could remove the tumor and bypass that section of artery and was given even worse news that IF they were to do the surgery to bypass the artery (which was never really an option anyway) and she developed a blood clot in that artery that there was a good chance that she would be dead within 48 hours so they never even considered it.  Because the cancer had already spread to the lymph nodes, there was no sense if even trying such a risky surgery where there would be ABSOLUTELY NO GAIN. So..............as soon as she heals enough from this surgery, she will have to go back to surgery to have a port installed for her chemo treatments and then she can finally start the treatmnents.  As it stands right now, she has a tube in her stomach that he hopes to remove in a couple of days before she can go home.

We havent given up hope, just a minor setback!

Thanks again for all of the words of encouragement and prayers!

Robert and Kimme.

Daniel.......keep us up to date on your Dad's condition as well.......we might as well fight this horrorable disease TOGETHER.

Robert, we are continuing to hope and pray for you and your wife. Please make sure you keep the records and any information on that exploratory and possibly seek a second opinion on the surgery.
Good luck

Wow, wasn't ready to read that. Never met you both, but just from the forum we all become family.

Prayers for Kimme, you and family.

I work with my wife's cousin, his wife has been going through the same thing since June of 2012, she had cervical cancer that also got into lymph, stomach lining, and liver/kidneys. Seems like she is always on chemo and her counts goup and down, but she is still her with us.

Praying the port and meds will knock this cancer out and she can recover.
