Ok, I gonna take you all out of suspense with a picture. I did a lot of dismantling today and still have more to remove. But I did get a glimpse of my mental image in real life. Now, two things still have to happen, the engine does sit lower in the end and the lift setup will still need fished out. And if I can get it all to work it will get repainted. The grey will become dark hunter green. Anyway, on to a pic or two.

Worst case it becomes a rear engine rider lol.

Ya, I checked it, both engines had the pulley on the front with a clockwise rotation.

Some progress made today, but not enough. I have the brackets and holes added in order to bolt the Maytag to the frame, but had one snag. I can't get the engine low enough to use the factory drive belt on the tractor.... Ugh.... So tomorrow I will be looking at buying a 1-2 inch longer belt. Factory belt is 98 or 99 inches long so probably buy a 100 inch long belt. Anyway, all I got done today. Not sure if I will get to drive it this week or not but hoping to.

Neat project!!  You're going to need a stepladder to kickstart it though. :D

I think my dad still has a couple of those Maytag engines around, I remember playing around with them with him when I was a wee lad.

Casey,

If you post a video of you driving this thing for the first time, be sure to have someone else taking the video. I too want to see you kick start this motor. I can't wait to see you get your leg up that high! Oh, and if you need, I can send you down an empty five gallon bucket for you to stand on!  :smilewink:
