We are throwing another curve into the nominations to bring in the new year. Your nomination must have Christmas decorations of some sort and will be a factor on the voting as we are not just voting on the tractor but also the best decorated garden tractor.

I also can't emphasize enough to please provide at least 2 paragraphs for the description of you tractor. Your tractor is going to be featured on the front page of GTtalk, this is your chance to shine and let everyone know about your tractor.

Here are the rules:

  • Tractor being nominated must not have been a featured in the last 12 months.
  • Please give at least a two paragraph description to tell us about your tractor.
  • You need 2 photos attached to your post as attachments, not linked from another site, the year make and model, and a brief description of your history with the tractor and what you use it for most.

We will accept up to 10 nominations, this thread will be closed after the 10th nomination. Once 10 nominations are made we will start a new thread for the voting. Voting will run to the end of the current month and on the 1st of the following month the winner will be featured on the GTtalk Home Page and in our Featured Tractors section.

Rules subject to change to better work for everyone. Good luck!

Remember guys...you cannot nominate your tractor unless submitted with a pic in proper attire. Last month some were nominated but no pic at all. Any nominations not complete cannot be accepted.:picsoritsnotyours:

I figured we are going to keep the nominations open for a little longer then normal as I am sure it's not like everybody already has lights or decorations on their tractor LOL

I think we are going to run the nominations up until the following weekend which would be the 12/12 at the latest. This will give up to two weekends for people to get their tractors decorated. We may even allow more then 10 nominations but no more then 15.

I'd sure hate to get a tractor all gussied up & find out I was one nomination too late, so you guys better get them all decorated up & entered asap. I think I'll set this one out...just too busy!

Ok... I'll throw my hat into the ring.

I'm entering my 1951 Simplicity M-1. I found this tractor sitting behind a flea-market, rotting in the grass. $50.00 later it was following me home on a trailer. It needed a little work to get it running, and after that I repainted it. The blade in the pic is a 'V' plow I made out of an unknown GT dozer blade.
When we lived in NY I used this tractor and plow to clear our walkway from the house to the driveway during the winter. We moved here, and left the tractor in storage up there. By the time I finally got it home, it had not been fired in over 4 years. I'll be darned if it wasn't running in 2 pulls! Now it lives a semi retired life... I used it last winter to move a few inches of snow just for kicks, and I ploughed some with it last spring. During the summer I used it to move a little dirt and some concrete chunks, as well as some little things I could find for it to do.
