Just bought a John Deere X758 with 60 inch HC deck. All I can say is this machine is a beast. I am mowing 3+ acres in half the time. I am using the X758 to mow where before I was using a bush hog and 4x4 Kubota L3200. I have nicknamed the Deere "billy goat" it will climb hills and cut like nothing I have ever seen. It wasn't cheap but I got what I paid for.

Hi mrg Blueberry farm, glad you decided to join us.  Sounds like you are really happy with the JD.  We have quite a few JD fans so you should be right at home.

Those are great machines.  The seminary I attended purchased one of those (after I graduated) to mow some serious hills.  I tried it on for size when I was back for my class reunion.  Very impressive machines.

:welcome:

Welcome to GTTalk. Congrats on the 758. They are very impressive tractors. I tried a 749 a few years back and got the same impression. Very maneuverable and it felt glued to the ground when climbing hills.

I added about 45lbs to the front. Bolted on an old curtain weight from an auditorium they were demolishing. Painted it flat black looks like it belongs there. Believe it or not this my first tractor with a mowing deck. Don't know what I have been thinking for the last 25 years.
