Hi All,

My 850 has had a second flywheel develop a loose hub and I am not having much luck finding one.

What choices:

convert to battery with cast flywheel, hard to find also

convert to Wico setup, just as bad to find

keep searching for Fairbanks

This stinks having this machine dead.

Have tried the bolens resto people: rays, sams ect

Help

Welcome to GTT!

What do you mean by loose hub?

Are you sure its just not a worn out key?

I've never seen a Wisconsin with a loose flywheel on all the ones I've had or worked on over the years.

Yes the steel center has come loose from the aluminum flywheel body.

Welcome to GTT. Have you checked with our sponsors? I also would suspect that your crankshaft has problems(bent or worn taper) that may be causing the problem. Good Luck, Rick

Checked the vendors and some of them have been looking since last week.

Crank is straight and taper looks good.

Original came broke ~2006 and I have owned and used since early 1980's.

Put a used one on from rays and that lasted until now.

Some vendors say used ones may already stressed from use and hence only 6-7 years use.

Ill take 6-7 more years.

I do use this almost every day for something or other
