I'm interested in hearing about your Red Cub Cadet 982 tractors and attachments. Any stories or photos or serial numbers you can share would be appreciated. I am trying to collect some data on these Super Cub Cadets made by IH 1980 - 1981. :blush2:

I don't have one but I would love to. I originally didn't care for the 82 series when I first got in to garden tractors but now I love them. My gt budget is on the slim side or I would have a couple. I really want a diesel. :D

I don't know if there are too many guys or gals on here yet that have the large 82 series Cub Cadets.

Hey NutNDun:
Once you get one red CC you will want more - believe me! I never wanted one either at first.

Like a goofball I passed on a IH built 982 here locally on Craigslist for $300. It had a cracked steering column, but that was all that was wrong with it. I just couldn't figure out how I would haul it home.

Might have been a long ride and a lot of weird looks and horn honks but I would have drove the tractor home or pushed it :D
