Does anyone know if the barn cat eats mice after they have eaten the poison, will it harm the cat?

Somehow, I feel like if you are having to put out poison to control the mouse population, the barn cat isn't eating mice.

In my area, the mice are a big problem because the fisher cats and coyotes have taken most of the cats and small dogs. We used to have pheasants, turkeys, grouse, and foxes. The coyotes have taken care of them too. I use the poison because the traps don't work. I know how to fix them(2 years dealing with mines and boobytraps) but they only get some of the mice. The darned mice just do so much damage that I use the poison. Good Luck, Rick
