HI - We have a Bolens H16XL small garden tractor.  My brother cut the hydrolic line ( metal ) with the cable that lifts the tiller in the back.  After replacing the line ( Napa made me a rubber one ), chaning the oil filter, and replacing the oil ( 8 qrts SAE 30 - non detergent as instructed on the hood of the tractor ), the oil is "foamy" and when you stop the tractor - it spills out where the dip stick goes.  I am far from being a machanic - so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to GTtalk Jesko Farms.  I know some of the Hyd systems I have worked on there is purge or bleed procedure.  The foaming is caused by air in the system.  I'm not familiar with your particular application but I'm sure someone who is will be along shortly.

Welcome to GTT. Check out these manuals http://gardentractor...-and-operators/ , http://gardentractor...521-hydroxlpdf/ . Good Luck, Rick

The manual shows 20w oil in the transmission and hydrolic lift. You better check closely about this.
