I have the choice to buy either a cub 100 or a cub original. $250 each.

The 100 has fenders, its in really good shape, it runs and has deck. I needs front tires.

The original is in good shape as well, but needs a carb rebuild and tune up. it has deck as well

which is the better buy? coming from a standpoint of a better tractor and better sale price?

I will post pictures when i get them.

I love the Original Cub Cadet's. They are one of the best looking garden tractor's ever made. But with fender's, the 100 sounds like the better deal. You should get both of them....

Well I'm partial to the originals, as I have two, but an 100 with round fenders is hard to pass up. Take the 100.

I'd get the 100.  If it's the same seller, perhaps he'll hold the original until you can afford that one too.

He isnt selling them publicly, just so he can get space in his garage. Its a family friend.

If you want them both, see what type of arrangement you can make.  He might rather see you get them both if he knows how you will appreciate them.  You never know.   Good luck.

My opinion would be be to grab the 100. Attachments are much easier to come by.
