After 98 days in rehab after hip surgery my wife finally came home last Tuesday.   We had a lot of  running around to do the last few days so that's why I'm late in posting.  Visting nurse,  wound vac people, etc... and waiting for her rollator to be delivered.  Guy brought one on Wednesday, but it was a piece of crap, nothing like what was odered.  His company was the only one that the rehab center dealt with. He said he'd be back in a few days with the right one.  Yeah, sure.......  he never showed !  I called , and was told that the manufacturer that they deal with didn't  have one like the one that we ordered through rehab.  Idiots couldn't even bother to let us know. We lost a few days waitning for him to return with the right one.  I called Medicare and asked what other companies near us were certified by them.  Found one in Brockton, MA, about a half hour drive away.   I called and spoke to a lady who was very helpful  and said that all we needed was a prescription from a doctor, plus photo ID .    Friday afternoon on Labor Day weeken,  I figured slim chance of getting a 'scipt from the doc.  Our primary doc's office was closed, so I took a shot at the surgeon's office, even though he was on vacation. .  Imagine my surprise when the woman said " Sure Ed, do you have a fax number for  the place? "  I did, and within ten minutes the lady from the dealer called me and said everything was all set and if we could get ther bfore they closed  we could pick up the rollator.      We did. YAYY !!   finaly something went right, lol.  Oh -  and first ngiht home my wife  got into her power recliner, lowered it back a little and we heard  ... "crunch! ".    Her brace had slipped under the  recliner and it crushed the part that goes around her leg.    Now we are waiting 'til this coming Wednesday for the guy to bring us a new one. He said he  thinks that we might not have to pay, since it was an accident.  Here's hoping...... and then we have to go the the shoe cobbler to have a piece bonded to it like on the original because of  a "taylor bunion" that she has.    LIke I said in my original post :  IT NEVER ENDS.   lol !    But at least she's home, and has no pain for the first time in decades.

Thanks to all for the well wishes over the past few months.

Glad the little lady is home.
Be sure to let the place that suggested that guy know. If they don't, others may get "substitutes" to their order.

Oh, they know -  but they have no choice.  Medicare says that's the one  they deal with.  They've written letters of complaint, but to no avail.  Things changed  in July of this year.

Ed, Y'all still have a long way to go, but the worst is over. Glad you are getting the right stuff to get she back on her feet. You have a great surgeon there to do that for you.

Good news Ed!  Like you said at least she is home and no longer in pain.  Hopefully things will smooth out for you all and all this will just be a memory.  Instead of complaining to the rehab center file a complaint with medicare.  Thanks for the update
