Hello all, I am a new member here and just wanted to show you my new project I picked up today. I had posted last night asking about parts availability for the TRA-10D, so this would be my second post. I got this 1968? 1050 and cant wait to get started in the restoration of it. It is mostly complete and only missing a few little things. The previous owner said it quit running on him and he thought it had lost compression. I pulled the plug out and cranked it over, and it would blow my thumb off the spark plug hole as I cranked it over. Seems as if this should be enough compression to run. It was flooding out and not even popping...not sure why, it does have a good spark. Tomorrow, I guess I will start by checking the valves. If you guys have any suggestions on what I might be missing, let me know, I am so anxious to get her going as this is my first antique garden tractor and I want to get her rolling.
Anyway, here are some pics, and yes, the colors are all wrong, but the old stuff will have to come off anyway. My goal is to get everything as close to original as possible. I also got the snow blower and mower deck in the deal, so I will make good use of this little tractor too.
