Started out to be a normal week of tractor buying and fun. Then it got hot, and then even hotter, until we we're literally on fire. Heres a few pictures of the new toys and the other mayhem.

427.JPG 426.JPG A David Bradley stone boat head!!

416.JPG 415.JPG 417.JPG 418.JPG 419.JPG   Loads of goodies, including a 59 Suburban, a Hiller pull behind mower, assorted cultivators, misc DB stuff and attachments.

420.JPG one of the several loads of dry beans from the garden.

413.JPG 414.JPG 421.JPG 422.JPG 424.JPG Somehow on Weds a fire started here. No one knows how or what started it, but it was pretty hard on the neighbors house, and the fruit trees around. I only got some burnt grass, and dang lucky.

423.JPG 425.JPG Back to normal, silage being cut this morning acrosst the road, should have the whole 40 acres down before tonite, them boys don't mess around

Glad it wasn't your house.  Has it been pretty dry up in your area?  It has been so wet and humid here this summer Fires haven't been much of an issue.   Looks like you did have quite a week.

That fire could have been bad. At least he didn't loose his house.

Think of how green that grass will grow back in.

i do not think we have had 1/2 inch of rain in over 2 months I got 2/10ths last night.
Temps have been High 90s all week and heat index over 100.
Yesterday broke a record for august of 102 in Des Moines.
It was 98 today and I was out in it working till 5 30. Takes a lot out of an old guy.

Lauber, glad things turned out ok in spite of the trials this week.
was there by any chance an electrical outlet on that side of the neighbors house.
Dad had a German Wasp nest in an outside outlet and I bombed them for him Monday night.
He said they were go one today,

The blue tractor walker is a Sears Handiman. Its the last version, complete with a tiller,2 types of blower, a front blade and a counter weight. Its on its way to a new home in southern IL, via the DB Express. Should be delivered by the end of Sept.
