SO I got an updraft carb for my 6hp B&S in the Bolens Husky. The carb looked like a perfect match (black carb ) except I had to change the throttle shaft as the connection for the linkage to the governor was in the wrong direction. So I switched the entire shaft. Now on the other end of the shaft, the throttle connects to the cable setup via another small linkage piece I believe. My blurry pic shows the end of the throttle shaft ( in red circle ) and an arrow to where the linkage piece would go ( and where my throttle cable attaches). Does anyone have a good pic of what this linkage piece looks like?? Thanks

Tell me about your engine and I can check for you.  What model do you have?

Well you definitely have the goods      If I could get you to dig in there a bit for a pic  .  . . .  that would be helpful. Here's a clearer pic of what I need,, but I'm sure you understand.

Are there any other Briggs engines that have the same carb? I have a model 19 I could get at that hasn't been muddled around with tht I know of.

I'm sure there are. If you see in my pic, the carb I have is black, not the gold. so it came from something else. But I'm not sure if the throttle cables mount the same. If you look at the pic from Dr Bolens, you see there is a 5 sided gold sheetmetal piece next to the air cleaner. That is where the cable and linkages mount. The piece I need goes from the carb over to that piece , which is where the throttle cable is mounted.

It would be nice to get this tractor up and running, but I can't do it without the throttle linkage. Just a pic would suffice.
