did this GT ride ever take place. sounds like lots of fun. I take my Ford 600 on a ride here in Fla every year, and would enjoy taking the smaller tractor on one. I guess I need to read the whole thing before I ask questions. It will be fun wish I lived closer

I'm looking at around two dozen tractors so far. Anyone planning on coming, please contact me ahead (if you haven't already), so I can have an idea how many dogs & burgers to bring!

I will have some Coke, 7Up, & Dr Pepper (all diet) & bottled water. Any other drinks will need to be brought with you (NO ALCOHOL).

I took these pictures of the road in today; HPIM0548.JPG

The picnic grounds are behind the solid line of trees in the distance on the left side. Just keep going East on the dirt road, you won't fall off the end, PROMISE!!!

If the road is muddy I'll have signs to bring you in through the hay field on the left! ~~ grnspot

Bet it doesn't take much moisture to make that road muddy. Hope you have a good turn out and lots of fun on the trail ride.

Not a lot! But with a good "crown", the yellow clay dries pretty quick with some sun. The trail into the timber doesn't dry as well though! ~~ grnspot

Lowell, are you going to make this an annual thing? I would love to come out but I know I wouldn't be able to make it this year. Would be a lot of fun.

I hope to!

The plan is to have a short meeting before people load up for input from the participants, to see what ideas are out there. I want to keep it simple, just a way for garden tractor people to get together.

I've got the place, just wanted a gathering (bull session) closer to home! ~~ grnspot

Well, just one more week!

I'll go do a final mowing mid-week, then go out again Friday to "finish up", bring in firewood, set up some tables, etc.. Weather Channel website shows 79 degrees w/0% chance of rain for Saturday!

Looks like we'll have at least a couple dozen tractors. I would appreciate anyone (who hasn't already), let me know how many are coming or if you need directions!

There is plenty of room for primitive camping if anybody wants to stay over. ~~ Lowell

Lowell, sounds like you are going to have some awesome weather. I hope you have a great turnout. I also hope it becomes a yearly thing because I would love to come out next year or the year after.

I edited your email and phone number so the spammers don't pick it up.
