I'm hoping to install one of the Tri-pac's  Yanmars into a golf cart this winter. They do have a deep oil pan but luckily it is narrow so doesn't cause problems. 9000 hrs. is a long life in the dirty conditions that these things run in.

Sometime if it works out I would be interested in visiting with you about purchasing a couple of radiators as the salt and chloride have taken a toll on mine.

Thanks for the information.

Been setting the 3rd engine up to run extended times.  Went to town for new 1" heater hose, which is what's used for radiator hoses on these units.  I swapped sides for the radiator so it would utilize the engine mounted fan to cool her down.  The electric fans were all gone.  Got it all ready and fired her up.  Man is this engine sweet!  This is my keeper for sure.  Super responsive, and at throttle when hot, a full 64psi oil pressure.  About 60psi at low idle!

I would have pics and video, but I sprayed a huge wasp nest near where I was working, and lets just say I didn't kill all of what looked to be 50 wasps on the darned thing!  I'll go back with a small can of gasoline & drop the whole lot of them, once they return to the nest.

I am VERY happy with this engine.  it's gonna be awesome mounted in the ________!  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:

Oh, and the alternator charges the battery perfectly also!

Your starting to get me interested in going out and trying the Kubota D950 that's been setting in the shed. Haven't even hardly looked at it since it was delivered.

Your having way too much fun Daniel.

That 950 will be a sweet powerplant for whatever you put it in.  The D1005 in Hogzilla is a powerhouse & smooooth!

I have to eradicate a nest of wasps in the fender of the pickup soon. So far no one has gotten stung.

Half a pint of gasoline in an open can.  Draw a good bead, toss, then run like h#!!

Oh, and don't be smoking a cigar at the time either!  :smilewink:

Brake cleaner works great too and is easier to aim.

Carb spray usually works good too, but the nest was up high enough, that with the distance & how hot it was yesterday, the chemicals vaporized before it could hit the wasps....I tried!
