A 216 came up in my area, much rougher, they wanted 800 for it and I probably would have paid it but I was broke.  Breaks my heart that one is so far away.

Plus, isn't that the equivalent of a 226? or the IR version 3016?  That is, those rear wheel appear to be normal 23 inch tires, not 30 inch tires, or am I not seeing correctly.

Yes Howard, I am wrong, as it does have the smaller wheels....I rushed & didn't look well enough.

Pretty sure its a Case/Ingersoll  226 with a different hood, I also think MF 318/320 (big wheel) is like a Case 446 again just different hood

I think it was '91 and '92, Ingersoll built those tractors for MF. It was only for 2 years. I guess they didn't sell that well. There is also a line of attachments that was made also with the MF badging. All are Ingersoll built of course.

I believe it is the equivelant to the Ingersoll 3016.  However, as I understand it, Massey used a different engine than the Ingersoll models.  I believe it has a 16 h.p. Kohler whereas the Ingersoll models used either an Onan or a Briggs & Stratton Vanguard depending on the yearof mfg.  That is an absolute smoking deal whether it runs or not.  When he says it needs a governer, I assume the engine may be surging due to a misadjusted carb.  But that is just a guess. As the heading says:  Someone needs to jump on this.  The travel control valve alone is worth $100 more than the asking price.
