Around 3 years ago the state bought a few of the houses around mine for a road project that is going to happen in a few years. One of the houses that the state bought had a small shed on the property so when the demolition crew came I talked to them and asked if I could take the shed. They said I could so I built a small sled out of 4x4's and 2x4s to put the shed on and then I pulled it with my truck. It's only a small 8x8 shed but for free I can't complain. I plan to use it to store a couple tractor and a lot of parts.

Can't beat that price. I need more storage as well but don't have anything like that nearby.

Free storage space is always good, even if it is only 8x8!

A shed like that would cost a bunch to build so you got a smokin' deal! The more sheds the better in my opinion, unless you can afford one huge building for everything! I have an 8x8 shed I want to move from the side of my shop around back so I will probably steal your idea. Going to build a bigger shed where that one is.

It just plain makes me angry to see good buildings crushed or destroyed just because they are in the way of "progress'. Good on you for speaking up and saving a serviceable building.
