This may have been brought up before but whats the difference between the K90 and K91 engines besides the magnetos and HP rating?

My main concern is would the Piston rings & piston interchange between the two?

I'm guessing they probably wont interchange as the K91 most likely has a larger bore to get the extra HP.

Have you checked the service manual?

The one parts list only gives single ring part numbers and the other gives the part number as a set so I cant verify part numbers that way....

It looks like the K90 power is rated at 3600rpm vs the K91 at 4000. Everything I see shows the bore, stroke and replacement piston being the same.

I don't know if there is an old style vs. new style difference like with the forged pistons for other models. Where you have to use the new style rod with the Mahle piston.
