Hi.

Can somebody tell me who is the manufacturer of the steering control valve like the one for sale on Ebay for the JD tractor 318 and more?

http://www.ebay.com/...e-/190834341736

I would like to read a little bit more about the control valve before I buy.

Thanks.

I have only worked with and serviced the round bodies units from Char-Lynn (Eaton) and Sauer-Danfoss units . Not sure who made that unit, but I have also seen it used in CubCadets too.

It may be a Parker, that is just a guess though.

A quick search on WFM.com confirmed it is a Parker unit and it was the same on the 318/322/332/420/430 machines.  I cannot find the service PDF right now.

I"m using one exactly like that to replace a bad box on a Ariens GT20, the Ariens only used 4 hoses, so I'm rerouting the extra line back to the hydro, very simple mounting and would be great for P/S upgrade

That logo appears to be "Ross", who makes most manual steering columns for GT's.

I will take yalls word on that, but that doesn't look like any "R" that I have ever seen.

I followed the ebay link and looked at the larger picture. I can see the resemblance now.
