New To Me Compressor

Thanks for all of the advice guys! But, does anybody have anything to say about me using the motor to repower a larger compressor? That is the main reason I wanted it.

 

Yes, the tank is a propane tank, and I am a bit weary of it also, it has been welded on before.

 

How much do you guys think that the pump would be worth? I don't need another project.

Those old compressors are sought after to convert into small hit and miss engines. They typically sell for around $50 with open crankcases bringing more. I have also seen some converted into steam engines.

That 3/4 isn't nearly large enough to run your large compressor.  If you pulleyed it down to where it would run it, then it would go so slow that this little Curtis might put out as much air.
