We haven't had a landline phone in years. We did have home phone service through VOIP from the cable company for a little while but we never used it since we had cell phones. There is a company local that makes money from setting up repeating towers and selling internet service.

Doubledog Communications

From Georgia to California there is a company that we  use called Atlas Broadband there not really broadband, just better than dial up. their owned by Russian "investors". They have a tall blond receptionist with a husky Russian accent that stands outside and smokes cigarettes wearing 6 inch heels and a miniskirt., When I walk by to pay my bill I always ask her say  "it's tthat darn Moose and Squirrel again" and she sounds just like Natasha off the Rocky and Bullwinkle show.
