Mystery Speedex Part...

I've had this part for awhile now. It was on a Speedex I picked up that I believe is an S17. I took the part off and set it up because I figured I come across its use eventually but as yet I have not. I have looked through the different attachment but I don't see it. Perhaps one of you Speedex guys can solve this little enigma. The part appears to be authentic in that it is welded similarly and has paint that is the same color as the tractor.

It looks like the linkage for the manual brake on the s 17 but theres no bering on it it could possibly be for the deck linkage but i never had mine on so i dont know

That's part of the mower transport kit.  The parts book I have calls it a "lift saddle".  Hope this helps.       Stewart

That does help thanks. I always thought it seemed like it would have something to do with the deck, but I couldn't quit see how it integrated into it. I still don't but at least I know It is definitely something with the deck. The manual you are looking from is some here on a PDF or could possibly scan that part of the manual in. I'd be interested to see it.
