I may have a line on a nice Gannon earthcavator, but I need to know what it's worth to make an offer. It appears to a smaller version that fits a Sears 3-point. Can anyone help me out ? Thanks..

They are a neat attachment, I have a 36" for my Allis Chalmers Big Ten. They are few and far between. I do not know the value but passed on $200 offered for mine a couple of years ago because I haven't seen any others(and this was from a friend).  Do you have a use for it? Have you checked EPAY?  Good Luck, Rick

At this point I'm not sure if he'll part with it. It's part of sale with about four other attachments and a 16hp Sear twin cyl for a package price. I already have all the same attachments, but I've kind of wanted to add a Gannon to the fleet.

Ive seen them priced from $250-600. I would say a fair price on a COMPLETE FD-36 would be around $400. An FD-42 could go higher...$500+, an FD-32, maybe a bit less. Missing pieces are NOT easy to find, so value an incomplete unit accordingly.

Very Rare 42" Gannon Earthcavator with factory hitch for Allis Chalmers or Simplicity Garden Tractors. This is about a 145# unit so would prefer local shipping however if you arrange shipping I can hold for you. This is a fully working unit that appears to have seen little use, teeth and shanks in excellent condition. Box and Scraper blades not beat up. Tractor in pictures is not for sale. Ask questions prior to bidding

Starting bid:
US $499.00

What's it worth??? How does one answer that? How bad do you want it? It certainly may be worth more to me than you. If I ran across one tomorrow I may pay $400 for it. Would you?

The only two I ever knew of selling around here local both brought less than $20 each.

One had the Simplicity hitch and the other one had Sears 3 point mounts.

UNFORTUNATELY I wasn't there when either one sold.  Both the new owners have never hooked them to a tractor and yet they won't sell.  At least the guy that bought the Sears one keeps it inside.  The Simplicity one is outside and sinking in the dirt!

I've only seen a couple go near me as well and they were in the $400 range.  I think the one on epay is slightly over priced, but you know what they say its worth what someone is willing to pay.

I think I sold mine for about $250.00. I didn't want to price it too high as I knew shipping costs were going to be up there.

I have only seen one for sale down here and I have looked for over a year. It was heavily pitted from rust and he was asking $400.....

Like others, if I had the cash and it was in good shape, $400 would not be out of the question if it was close to me.....that being said, they seem to hold their value...so your down side should not be much at that price.

Well, that's just wrong. He should be shunned. :(

Well it was worth a shot. He's not willing to part out any attachments as of yet. And someone else is also sniffing that Gannon out as well. But he did take my name and number if he cannot sell these item off as complete set.

Man, now I feel good about mine.  When I bought my Allis Chalmers B110 it came with a front dozer blade and 42" Gannon Earthcavator, man that thing is heavy too!!
