Looks like the Bolens bug got me again!

Normally I dont buy duplicate tractors as I'm running out of room to store them but I just couldnt pass this one up.

I bought this from a guy I've known a couple years at the Erie County Fair Antique Tractor display.

Its a 1957 Super Ride-a-Matic

The tractor looks to have been restored at some point but the paint and decals that were used are not correct.

The original Paint is completely gone which makes me believe the entire machine was taken apart, blasted then painted.

Everything was there including the  belt guard and rear hitch. The original Schenuit tires are in great shape as well.

The only thing that is missing is the carb and air cleaner

Someone installed a Clinton Carb.

Congrats! So now you have one with the original hitch on the back, how does your custom fabbing on the restored one match up?

The only thing I had to make on the other tractor was the triangular shaped piece of steel that is welded to the frame.

If the one on this Ride-a-Matic is original I was only 1/2'' off with the height.

That's a nice tractor!

Did anyone notice the conspiracy between Jerome and Dr. Bolens?  How they both plan to snap up all the good Bolens pieces nationwide?

:rolling: I love it!

You both are also just so much fun to pick on.  I get a kick (and lots of knowledge) by watching you two look at a tractor in a blurry photograph and nearly pin down the date of manufacture, modifications, damages, and original decals!  You guys impress me to no end.

When I grow up I want to know as much about Bolens as Dr. Bolens and Jerome does!
