Curious, I ran across a skid loader repowered with a subaru eh72 18 hp Vtwin.
I know nothing about them and was wondering how reliable they were.

I only knew that Subaru engines were used by Deere in semi-trash pumps  subaru.jpg

I would say they are good. There's a 20hp Honda ohv motor that runs in our vtwin class and runs pretty well.

They are good engines from what i've read. Expensive like Hondas but equally reliable and long lived.

Thanks all. Orginally the Case 1816 came with a 16 hp tecumseh. What I have found on the subaru it is narrower than some of the other V Twins. Which might make it easier to fit? I do not think I will goo for this one.
But I used to run my father-in-laws 1830 a lot and really liked the controls on the Case.
I really want an 1816!

Here is the kicker. While i have been researching small skidloaders for three years I said nothing to the wife.
Here a while back she came up with the idea on her own and said with all the projects we want to do, we really need a skidloader.
So when the right one comes along I already have permission.
