So the last few months have been interesting and i fianlly got into the tractor swing. I have been looking for a TRA-10D for weeks with no luck what so ever so while cruising ebay i found this little 800 and had to have it. When i was younger my dad brought home a 800 and i remember as a little kid sitting on that tractor forever but sadly my mom made my dad get rid of it.

The seller had this listed on ebay with a buy it now of 500 or make him an offer and i offered 300 and he took it. It came with the 800 a bolens trailer smaller snow caster round back tiller and a very rough snow blade and a good hood.

It does run and suprisingly well. But mainly i just want to get her running well and use it she it was made for untill i get my 1050 runing then i want to do a total tear down for paint.

The short terms plans for this week are buy a matching tire it has a new tru power and a blown out ag on the other side.

The starter generator is shot so i am going to use the one off the 1050 till i can get this one rebuilt.

Also when i go from low to high gear the mower deck engages.

Got some time to mess with the 800. When I first start running it it runs fine but after about 10 mins it starts running rough and has no power. Also there is a large amount of oil do they have a common leak from the back of the motor?

Check your belt guards.. one of the bolt holes goes through the motor and will spew oil if not tight.

the belt guard is missing completely so well that's one lead. Tomorrow I need to read the manual and re adjust the carb.

Nice find, looking forward to your progress. Congrats.

Thanks ive wanted a round nose since my dad got rif of his and even though i only used it for a few today it brought back so many memories from my child hood watching my dad mow and rides in the cart.

The only other issue that has me stumped when changing from low to high gear it activates the mower even though it off is this due to the missing belt guard? i know they are all oil soaked and i am going to pick up new belts friday after work.

Looking at the pictures it appears to have its original S7D

That's what I thought as well, seeing the removable silver point box on the side of the engine.

I just don't remember if any S8D's used the YQ-11 points in the removable point box, or if all S8D's had a non-removable point box and used the YQ-12 ignition parts.
