Looks like a Sears. Good Luck, Rick

Gt16, gt18, gt19.9... could be a bad repaint on a 18-6 or a 16 twin or a re motored etc.

My bet with that dust screens and engine size is a GT 18 or GT19.9

Gt16,

Never seen a GT16, didn't know they made that model, but should have known they did.

Sometimes we see the Roper versions more than the Sears ones up here.

Definitely a mid-seventies Sears. Dad had an SS16 that looked like that. The one in the ad is kind of cobbled up, but hey, if it runs good.....

Interesting how the battery is sticking out the front.

well worth the price just for the motor!

Reminds me of one I've passed daliy for about 4 years now just sitting outside of a guys house, I need to stop and ask about it.

If the engine started out black, it's later than the SS series. It may have been repainted.

I would say 78-79 GT 18/19.9 model since it has a newer looking deck on it... if it's original deck.

Looks like my GT18/6, except for the paint.  The battery is normally between the driver and engine, not sure why they put it in front...
