My name is Jeremy first time joining a forum and first time trying to restore a garden tractor so I have alot of ?'s. I recently bought a Ford 140 that needs a bit of work. The tractor has an old Jacobson I think 38" two blade deck that the guy gave me with the tractor but I am more interested in the 42" 3 bladed deck. My question is will the Ford 100 and Ford 120 implements work on the 140 and are the tractors Identicle to each other, other than the motors.

Hello Jeremy and welcome to GTTalk.  I have no answers for you, but there are several members who know this line of tractors and should be able to help.  Thanks for introducing  yourself, and we'd all love to see some pictures.

Welcome to GTTAlk, Jeremy. I don't think the Ford 140 is that common. Check our manuals section and look for all 3 model numbers. If the manuals are there that would give you a good idea of the differences. There are lots of Ford/Jac. owners and collectors here so I'm sure someone will be able to answer your question directly.

Welcome to GTtalk, Islandford.  Glad u joined this forum.  Bunch of great folks here, ready to help.

JDBrian is right, check out the manuals section, you might find what u are looking for.  When KennyP sees this post, he can maybe help you with your question about the 140.  He knows his Fords pretty well.  So do a bunch of other folks here.

If and when u get the chance, if you could, please post some pictures of your tractor.  :wewantpics:

Welcome to the forum! I think that is probably a pre '72 tractor. If I see a pic, then I can answer questions better. I have some manuals, but finding the right one is the issue. I would think the 100 & 120 attachments would work fine on there.

Thanks all for the great welcomes I'll see if I can get some pictures of my tractor today. From searching the internet I see most or all of the ford 140's I saw was from 1969. I haven't really don any research on the tractor myself yet.  I haven't even took any #'s off the tractor, just picked it up a couple of days ago. Excited to get started on the project. Thanks again

Welcome!

I also recently purchased a Ford 140. It is my understanding that they were only produced from 69 through 71. As far as attachments, from the manuals that i have seen, they list the 80, 100, and 120's together with the 140, so i assumed that meant the attachments are interchangeable.

Got some pictures in my Gallery I think took me awhile to figure it out. Not sure how to change my profile pic to one of the picture when it try's to upload it states that the image is to large. Haven't figured out how to take the picture from this gallery and set it to my profile. Like I said she's in hard shape but with a little time and patients I think My son and I can restore her. Maybe not as good as new but we'll do our best.

Checked out the pics! Nice tractor. I think I have a manual to cover it, gotta look. If I do, I'll PM you. Might be this evening, though.

as long as the body style of your ford 140 matches to say a ford 100 120 attachments should work , they were made by Jacobsen the cross over to Jacobsen is a chief 1450, also Minneapolis Moline 114, and White Town & Country 114 good luck
