Just bought a Montgomery Ward walk behind with a sicklebar mower in rough shape. It needs new knives, guards and ledgers and probably other stuff.  The knives are 2" wide and 3" long with rivet holes 1 3/8 " apart, and they are  thinner than typical knives.

Can anyone suggest a good source for parts?

Welcome to the forum!  I have a sickle for a midland (I think they're the same or close) that I also need some parts for. I haven't checked the other sickles brands I got laying around yet. I'm sure someone  with have a  better idea.

Are they the same knives as jari?

Might be worth the call.

Welcome to GTT. I got some knives for my Haban by stopping in at my local mower repair shop and talking to the owner. He gave me a broken cutter bar off a newer sickle that he had just changed out for a customer. It gave me 8 teeth. I'll have to grind them a little to fit. Good Luck, Rick

Thanks for the welcome and the replies.

I called Jari. They have knives that will probably fit but none of the other pieces. Seems like visiting dealers will be the next step.
