Grandpa, Dad and I decided to get the the work and show tractors out and get a family portrait. We're not sure how many years these tractors are going to be together, so we kinda made it at the top of the priority list.

Nice Collection there.
I will tell the story of my first experience with a Massey Harris 44. It was in 1966 and I was in my sophmore year in HHigh school, so I was not much older than you Ryan. My dad had taken on the job of plowing, and reseeding a 15 acre pasture.
Dad at the time was a boiler operator at Maytag and worked the 4-12 shift.
So when I got home from school, mom sent me out to where dad was working. Dad put me on the tractor and told me to harrow in the seed. He said when you get done unhitch the harrows and drive the tractor home. He then took my car and went to work.
Well the harrow sections were lined to the tractor with a chain hitch. Things went along well and I was nearly done and was getting to the point where the turns were sharper. I got to daydreaming and not paying attention to what I was doing and turned too sharp.
Hooked the chain in a tire lug and when I got stoped the harrow was nearly in the seat with me.
Now how am I going to tell dad I did that? I was about 100 lbs soaking wet with rocks in my pockets, so the harrow section weighed almost as much as me. I finally found a steel fence post and levered the chain out of the lugs and got everything back on the ground. finished the job and went home. That s one of the stories I never told Dad until about 20 yrs later?

Great photos Ryan. I always liked the styling on the MF no. series garden tractors because they are based on the farm tractors like the 165. Personally, I like that look better than the newer MF's.
