This will help you figure out what ignition parts will interchange from other engines.Keep in mind these are not Briggs numbers. This was out of an early Rotary sales catalog. Also has the carb kit with the briggs number and rotary number.

Many auto parts store will have small engine parts. I get parts for my B&S 23D from NAPA. Good Luck, Rick

Will love seeing pics of another 725.
As for the head gasket, I am sure that at least one of our site sponsors could hook you up with all the stuff you need. Shoot them PM's or post in their forums. They'll get back to you as soon as they can.

you can get Briggs engine parts right from the Briggs dealer. If I remember right you cant get the coil any more, but there might be a china copy out there some place.

Yes, just give them a call. In your case, I would be very tempted to tear the engine down and do a complete cleaning and inspection. With the head off, you should atleast do a valve job. Don't get or order parts until the inspecting is done. Our site sponsors can help with parts and knowledge. Good Luck, Rick

I agree to check with site sponsers and do google search if it comes to it. Engine parts can be found as Briggs is still in business and there are people still carrying them.

Tractor parts on the other hand, that's another story.

I also have a 725, we would love to see pics of yours.
