God gave us our relatives; thank God we can choose our friends.
-- Ethel Watts Mumford

Thanksgiving dinners take eighteen hours to prepare. They are consumed in twelve minutes. Half-times take twelve minutes. This is not coincidence.
--Erma Bombeck

An optimist is a person who starts a new diet on Thanksgiving Day.
--Irv Kupcine

Thanksgiving is an emotional holiday. People travel thousands of miles to be with people they only see once a year. And then discover once a year is way too often.

Thanksgiving is a celebration of a good harvest, and good friends, working together and helping others the best they can.
May we all have that at least as much as we need.

That bad huh? Sorry to hear that! I will be spending the day with both families...just not at the same time. Thankfully I get along with my in-laws very well. I hope that everyone remembers to say thanks for the blessings that they've received, be they large or small. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the bounty we are about to receive and may your blessing be upon it and all who partake of it. May our loved ones & friends who are not here, have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving.

I give thanks for my family who are patient with my addictions, and for the people who sell me their rusty junk so that I may continue with my “hobby”.

I am also thankful for starting fluid, jumper cables, sand blasting, air tools, welders, hand tools and whatever else you have given humankind the insight to invent so that my projects are easier. I know that I have used your name in vain (and other profanity) while using them, but I ask your forgiveness and that you realize that this imperfect person used these words because I was frustrated that the *&^&%$ bolt wouldn't start or when the ^^%$^ wrench slipped, it really hurt.

I am also thankful for the Internet, as it has not only been a boon of information that has helped, but also has worked as a support group for my addiction.

Please bestow good health on all my friends, family and snow removal equipment during the upcoming Holiday Seasons.

Amen
