I just purchased a ford lgt 17, and I haven't seen much about them here.  so my question would be is who made this one.  the engine is a kohler 17 hp twin made in 1984.  was these not a popular design or are they rare to find.  I will post some pics as soon as I get a chance.  any info on this would be greatful.  oh yea I bought it for 60 dollars. figured it was cheap enough.

Never seen one. $60 sounds like a steal! Post a picture when you can please.

I know of 1 other. I think member Texas Deere and Horse (Brian) has one but my memory may be faulty.

If it's like the pictures I found online, the LGT17 is made by Gilson. Sounds like you got quite the deal.

pk, Here is the thread on the one we have. It's a great tractor and does very well with the tiller. I hope you enjoy yours.

yours is alittle diferent than mine.  mine has the throttle on the dash, don't have a peddle.  everything else looks the same.  mine has the k17 series II engine also.

Good score on that Gilson built Ford. Don't see a lot of those around. Enjoy it!

Series 2 engine is a big bonus.  That's a very nice and rare tractor.

right now getting it to run. then i am gonna hopefully clean it up and use it this winter, if we get any snow.  but i do alot of trading and deqaling to see what i can get to fix up. but if i like what i get i keep it as long as the wife thinks i am trying to get rid of it lol.
